- Ticket prices for the official entries are capped by the festival, so a standard screening costs the same at every cinema. About this event
For two weeks from Christmas Day, foreign titles come off Philippine screens and the official entries have the cinemas to themselves. The slate announced so far includes a sequel to the local adaptation of Miracle in Cell No. 7, a Star Cinema comedy pairing Vic Sotto and Vice Ganda, a Regal horror title and a GMA fantasy drama, with four more entries still to be named. Whatever you make of the line up, the Christmas to New Year cinema run is the closest thing the country has to a shared cultural event.
