About this event

The New Japan Philharmonic makes its Manila debut to mark seven decades of Philippines, Japan diplomatic relations, under conductor Tetsuji Honna with violinist Mayuko Kamio, the 2007 Tchaikovsky Competition laureate, as soloist. The programme opens with both national anthems and pairs Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major with Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. This is a rare chance to hear a touring Tokyo orchestra at this level in the city, and the kind of evening classical music lovers turn out for. It is a single night at the Theatre at Solaire in Entertainment City, so book ahead through TicketWorld and plan for the trip out to Parañaque.
